April 20, 2020 Le fonds Jean Roché au Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle
Le Muséum national d'histoire naturelle intègre désormais le fonds Jean Roché. Ce fonds représente plusieurs centaines de DAT et de bandes analogique représentant 4.000 heures d'enregistrement et produit plus de 200 ouvrages audio, dont une centaine sur CD.
Chacun peut commencer à en trouver des exemples sur la base de la sonothèque. Nous en sommes au début du traitement. Il faut en effet numériser cet ensemble considérable. Nous avons trouvé un accord avec le Muséum de Berlin pour la numérisation des bandes analogiques.

A recent article on the vocalizations of Muscicapa flycatchers in insular context (Corsica) and on the continent confirms the relevance of the taxonomic treatment recommended by MNHN molecular genetic researchers. Incidentally, this discovery is also that of a possible record in terms of use of high frequencies by a songbird.

A recent study described Gnominthus, a new genus of Eneopterinae crickets discovered in New Guinea Island (Papua New Guinea), abundant in the forest leak litter and showing a new example of crickets using ultrasonic calling songs.
